Trickster Rogue Class Trailer
By Pinpointerror @ December 19, 2012 at 7:00am

From Waterdeep to the Spine of the World, the rogue is a staple of every adventuring party in the Forgotten Realms. With the flash of a smile and a hidden dagger, the Trickster Rogue gets the job done with finesse and mobility.
When Lord Neverember sent for adventurers to help rebuild Neverwinter, rogues and ne’er-do-wells from across the Realms answered the call. The city guard may not think much of them, but these free spirits have proved themselves integral to any adventuring party.
Rogues are ready to fight at a moment’s notice. Without wanting or needing cumbersome heavy weapons or bulky armors, an adept rogue requires only the sharpest blades to dominate any encounter. While magicians keep their distance, the rogue attacks in surgical and deadly strikes with twin daggers, leaving her enemies lifeless before they hit the ground. With the rogue’s mobility and damage potential, encounters are quick and deadly.
In addition to the rogue’s defensive roll, you can position yourself with stealth powers and abilities like Deft Strike. This ability is perfect for enemies that make attacks in their front arc, as it lets you teleport behind them for a vicious strike. Bait them into attacking, wait until the last possible moment – then teleport behind them as they commit to the swing.
Rogues can also combine dodging and damage-dealing with powers like Bloodbath. This powerful ability makes the Trickster Rogue an untargetable death machine, leaping from enemy to enemy in a blur of motion. Let that gang of orcs think they have you cornered – with Bloodbath, their blades can’t hit what they’re too slow to see.
The Trickster Rogue will be a key part of any adventuring party when Neverwinter launches in early 2013. If you enjoy being an untouchable up-close damage-dealer, the Trickster Rogue will be your class of choice when you bring Neverwinter from ashes to glory.

AS a traditional (non traditional) umd dual wielding rogue fighter type I hope there is flexibility in the builds for me. I really liked the early days of DDO (Founder) and hope this is great too (Founder)

With the ability to teleport behind foes, it looks like a rogue may not be dependent on a tank to keep a foe's attention turned away, which is GREAT for the sneaky soloist, which is how ~I~ believe a rogue plays best conceptually. Why, I ask myself, would a sneaky rogue WANT a giant clanking tank to tag along on missions?

Rogue is my specialty, so I can't wait! I wonder if it'll be feasible in solo as well...

I normally like to start playing a game as a Fighter or Cleric to get a feel for the game as it is much easier to survive but i think i may have been convinced that the trickster rouge is the way to go!! EPIC cant wait!!!!!

Gotta say, I may have to roll rogue if the rangeresque class turns out to be... Flawed? Doubt that'll be the case, though. Still, internet points to them for making a rogue class actually look fun.
phistagon @ Dec 20th, 2012 10:52AM
I don't normally go rogue, but this video makes a strong argument for it. Exciting!!!

My favourite class. PLS make more traps and allow rogues to find and disable them.
