  I only have a one question. If I don't buy the ‘Menzoberranzan Renegade´ pack, I can't play with a simple drow character? I love Neverwinter night and Forgotten realms, I want this game because I can play with a drow character, but I can't buy this pack is too expensive. 200 dolar is too much... I don't need a wonderful spider or amazing things, I only want a dark elf. Please, answer me. I wait this game since one year, but I afraid that disappoint me.

  if u look in the classes there is the drow race that race u get is the exiled race of drow!

  I have no problem supportingthe game, and developers. I have been playing pen and paper Faerun for over 20 years and I am looking forward to this since i am als o fan of the books. In the long run I have blown WAY more on mods ect. I can not wait to see the extent of the game and its contents. I hope they take tier time so its not like Conan where the first few levels rock and the rest kinda blows.

  $200 for a pack... Pretty sure the full pack of WoW is less then that and you get A LOT More. Sure you have monthly payments but this is a bit over the top... The only thing that seems to be the 'selling point' is getting into the game early, which doesn't really give you anything. (Game will still come out and people will still play a lot more then you) I think if anything drop the price by at lest $100, even in AUS$ thats a lot (AUS$ worth more the US$).

  So much immature hate for a game. I mean, did you all whine back when games weren't free? No? Then why in the world are you whining about FREE games? Nobody said you had to buy these packs. They are for people that believe in the company and want to support the game. I purchased all three. I figure if I can't subscribe or get a lifetime subscription then ill at least get some cool stuff on the front end.

  It hurt, but I bought it (as well as making my monthly donation to STO's cash shop to support it). I'm a big fan of Forgotten Realms so I want the game to succeed. That said I will mention that I think the pack is a bad deal looked at objectively. It does NOT come with the 500 points a month Stipend CO and STO do (which means it pays for itself in a way in a couple of years if you play that long). For $200 it should have more benefits IMO, but I pretty much gave up the money so the game will survive and continue to expand. Incidently those talking about unproven games and such kind of miss the point to my way of thinking. I prefer a straight subscription model, but with FTP games part of the idea is that where they go largely depends on how much people put into them. If you like the IDEA of the game then you should help to make it profitable so they will keep improving and expanding it. If it wasn't for people paying money into the cash shop, buying lifetimes, etc... it's doubtful STO would ever have gotten it's newer Adventure Zones (Tholians, New Romulus) or the sub-system menu-games for Rep and Star Bases. Granted I think Cryptic should be expanding their games faster given the amount of bank they seem to be making (I'm not rich but I give about $60 a month which is the price of buying a game since I play a *LOT* in my spare time instead of other games) and I seem to be a comparitive lightweight compared to people who claim to have bought everything in the Z-store and dump hundreds on Keys.

  to the people RAGE-ing over the packs.... it's not required, you don't have to buy it, no one ever said you did. If you want it, sweet, get it. If you don't want it, then don't get it. Stop getting so ticked off over something that will basically NOT effect you in any way.

  If by starter pack you mean the 19.99 Neverwinter Starter Kit, the answer is no. Only the Hero and Guardian packs gives beta access.

  If GW2 was an indicator to anything, it's that I'm not buying jackshit until the games quality and longevity are proven. One of the biggest flops ever.

  lol LOL!!!!! $200 IS THE GAME EVEN WORTH PLAYING? lol come now this game is not famous even then Elder scroll online that is coming soon even GW2 or blade and soul,who some player will spend $200 for hero VIP are either plain Rich,Big fan of dungeons and dragons,GMs that can update for free access,or ppl that want to be better then other and being MR. or Mrs. so off,that i hate so much about those players.If you not any of that dont buy the $200 hero one ok guys have fun :)

  my question and or suggestion would be that the 199 back includes the items from the lower packs. aka the horse and wog /wolf pet w/e it is, i mean if youre paying almost 4 times might as well include the lesser pack items right? i believe thats how it usually is in something like this, higher packs include the previous items more

  I don't know about everyone else but there seems to be items in each pack that I'd like to have but there is no single pack that contains everything or an option to mix and match. Spending 200 USD on content seems awfully risky, pls disclose what an astral diamond is worth in actual monetary terms so we can make a better judgement call, thanks.

  $200.00 is pretty steep. I would love to play the dark elves for sure but I would like to try the game out first to make sure I even like it. I hope you can purchase that race later on as well....

  You can still play the dark elves (drow) free to play. It's just the renegade drow background that is exclusive.

  C'mon guys, I'm pretty sure the astral diamonds or w/e will add up in the end. I mean 750,000.00 is A LOT if you compare to any other cash shop currency. Take the Turbine points for example $19.99 = 1600gold or something like that. We have no idea what the pricing of the diamonds is but I'm pretty sure it will make up most of the $549, or whatever the amount was they announced.
