Neverwinter Beta Weekend Tips

Every hero needs an adventuring party, especially for the dungeon-delves with the best fights and shiniest loot. Neverwinter comes with plenty of tools to help you get social, both for meeting new allies and coordinating with old friends.
Neverwinter uses different channels for chatting – other Cryptic games have LFG channels, trading channels, etc. Some of these channels are also cross-game, so if you’ve got friends in Champions Online and Star Trek Online, you can keep talking to them while playing. Ask around with other players for helpful custom channels, then add them to your chat window through the chat settings option.
Most dungeon-delves have a matchmaking system, including the Cloak Tower dungeon and the Orc Assault event. Pop open the Neverwinter home page (hotkey “L”) and open the Queue tab. This window also outlines a number of other adventures, from the event schedule to top Foundry missions.
Already have friends you want to party up with? Open the social menu (hotkey “O”) and you’ll see your entire friends list, plus options to find parties and solo players, or to change your status to “looking for party”. Once you’re part of a party, you can use voice chat for coordinating attacks and heals – just make sure that you’re set to open mic or push-to-talk. You’ll only be hearing from people in your party, so you won’t have to worry about mic spam.

U have to use paypal or the other option, i had same problem, says u dont need paypal but it seems u do. So i tried the other option and went through first try np. good luck

this game is free to play? but u have to pay to play beta? cant find beta key anywhere unless i purchase it. am not purchasing a beta key, sounds like a scam here

It's not a scam... You pay some money to help them develop the game. The "FOUNDER" title should have made that pretty obvious. In return for helping out you get a bunch of stuff. Like a cool mount and a mask to show the community that you're a pretty cool guy who helped out. Oh, and yeah, you also get a FOUNDER title. If you don't want to help them out, then just wait for the game to come out.

The only thing I can't find out is how in the beta we are supposed to get the items from the packs we purchased.

If you bought beta there is no key except friends key ; If you have not been able to download game contact customer service and they can initiate it.

I was extremely looking forward to NWO but after PWE purchased it, my excitement went with it. PWE is probably the biggest P2W group out there. I'm really hoping this won't be the case. Anyways, I guess only time will tell. Here's hoping I get a chance to join in on the beta.

So far it looks like Cryptic and WotC have kept PWE out of the design process ingame. It doesn't have thaty generic feel like FW, PW, WoI etc have, and seems more creator controlled with PWE only allowed to do the publishing like Rusty Hearts.

Here is a beta weekend tip, the mailbox is person with a envelope over his head. He is not inside the marketplace like the mail says, he is to right if you are facing the door. I hope this helps all the people asking where it is in game. To any GM's out there, put a icon on the map for things like that. I can be quite frustrating looking for the mail point for 20 mins because the direction in game are wrong and it's not on the map.

i thought this would have customization to what you wear like champions, city of heroes, sto? Also the community manager on twitter specifically told me everything is soloable but it's not true. check his messages to a specific pink-haired girl.

If you bought a founders pack it should automatically be added to your account. And teh Download buttons for the beta should be lit up.

It mentions when the different keys will be phased in. Just have to look for the beta info on the website. Although a whole bunch of people wont know tiil later like the keys given out in PC Gamer and Torchlight 2 purchases.
