Guardian Fighter Montage Trailer
By Pinpointerror @ February 15, 2013 at 6:00am

The Guardian Fighter is the undeniable leader of a Neverwinter dungeon party. Always willing to selflessly sacrifice his or her body for the safety of their party, they are first to charge into combat and draw enemies’ attention.
Trickster Rogues rely on swift blades and illusions to deal with foes. The Great Weapon Fighter relies on punishing damage-dealing ability in combat. The Guardian Fighter is always methodical and calculated in combat, never striking unnecessarily and shields always at-the-ready to block incoming damage. If you prefer to analyze a combat situation first rather than recklessly charge into combat, then the Guardian Fighter is fits your style of play. Play a noble hero or heroine today and lead your party to victory against the nefarious foes of the Forgotten Realms.

mok33
Nope.
hackfleisch249 @ Feb 23rd, 2013 4:32AM
Will there be an archer class or something like that?
mok33
There might be.
gladiatorul @ Feb 20th, 2013 6:58AM
will there be a dual welding dps fighter class I mean like a dual wealding strenght fighter in nwn 2?
argantis @ Feb 19th, 2013 1:20AM
All of these classes look like so much fun but I want to get in and play. I want to see how the mechanics are, go through the builds. Initially I was all in on a trickster rogue, but after watching every bit of game footage I can get my hands on, I am not as set on that as I would be in other MMO's. Where healing and tanking is a job in other MMO's this one makes it look like a lot of fun. I so so so so wish it was in open beta 24/7. I NEED MY FIX! *Stares off into the distance with vacant eyes and a slight twitch in his cheek every now and then*

Where are Paladins :(
mok33
Coming soon.
cooper6040
I hope so.. I will buy it from the store if I have to.. but no way should the guardian fighter be the party leader over a Protection Paladin :p

You can't play a montage without South Park's montage song.

I really hope they do something to slow down the leveling. The game just won't last if you can make it to max level in 3 days. Granted it may take a little bit longer, but at the current speed it won't be by much. On beta weekend I got two of the classes to level 30 and the their one pretty close. I still feel (and truly hope it to be true) that they turned up the level gain to make people experience more of the game.

I beta they want u to level fast so yo can test end content the beta maxed at..
angrysprite
Cryptic games have you level very fast in the beginning, then very very slowly near the top on a "sliding curve" process. This allows newcomers to feel they are being successful in their gameplay. However, after level 20 or so you're already committed, so levelling slows down exponentially the closer to "end game" you get. If you play 8 hours a day, five days a week, it will still take you a month at least (guesstimate, of course) - I understand there will be 60 levels.

"If you prefer to analyze a combat situation first rather than recklessly charge into combat, then the Guardian Fighter is fits your style of play." I hope this plays a true part later in the game. From what we saw in the beta was you didn't need a guardian fighter and there was nothing wreckless about charging into combat when the mini bosses were dead in 10 to 15 seconds. Need to drop the dps of characters or seriously boost some hitpoint die on the mobs. Other than that the game shines :))
foxtsilveruk @ Feb 15th, 2013 12:43PM
I thought the lvling speed was increased but after reading this im not sure what to believe... http://www.channelmassive.com/blog/?p=2942
harekaze
I hope it's not sped up... I thought it was too fast in beta. It could be due to a large amount of end game content, and it possibly slows down later on.
designationxr377 @ Feb 15th, 2013 12:39PM
You gotta have a MONTAAAAGEEEE!
fuerte3 @ Feb 15th, 2013 9:33AM
Guardian Fighter is not leader, but defender. Devoted Cleric is leader.
shadow71 @ Feb 15th, 2013 7:54AM
I enjoyed playing my guardian over the beta test. There are a few things it think that should be improved character wise however I didn't find it boring to say the least. @Shengrong I hope you know that the leveling to did over the beta weekend is not set in stone. That leveling was about x4 faster than the normal and it will if I got my facts right will be slowed on game release.
shengrong @ Feb 15th, 2013 7:46AM
I must say that the leveling progress is fine, got to level 25 in the weekend, and didn't really played that much, I have played a lot more in WoW, and this one feels just too good, sometimes you just want to go out and smash faces! XD
nebrin6 @ Feb 15th, 2013 6:18AM
my first game experience during the beta weekend was the guardian, i take a lot of time to level up, some times is more fun to play with the cleric, but i still think, the sheild is too weak, but block a lot of incoming damage, that´s usefull when use the party, but to play alone is a litle boring. anothers classes are more fun to play, take too much time to level up in my opinion.
nebrin6
just remember i was leaning to play, so takes more time to level up.
