I think they offer allot in the Hero package. Compared to other games Collectors packages they are including more than I have ever seen. Access to an exclusive race awesome but will others be able to purchase access to the race outside the Hero package later ? Anyone know how long the Founders packages will be available ? I would like to get this but will take another week or so to free up the funds.

I also think 199 is too much, but i might have another opinion after next weekend :)

oh yea and by the looks of it, this might be one of those games that are retail worthy. which means if people support game by buying the founders pack, its no different than buying the collectors for another game sold at your local gamestop. so quit complaining you aren't getting freebies lol

It's not so much buying a collectors version, as it is getting what you pay for. $199 is a bit much, that is the same price I got my lifetime STO account, when it first launched. Looking at the pack, I would not say its worth two hundred, but I would pay a hundred for it. The reason why is that it is missing a key item from the STO and Champions bundles. I know that this is Cryptic's first post F2P game, and I will play the heck out of it, and support them when I can, but the lack of a stipend makes the two hundred dollar price tag hard to swallow. Most of the items in the Founders pack are cosmetic, and really won't affect game play. So in the end, my best advice is to compare the STO lifetime membership, and the founders pack side by side, and decide for yourselves. If you decide that it is worth it, then by all means, support this great company. If not, then support it in your own way.

I'd agree about money hungry cows, however, most games are doing this now. The 'founders' thing. People who are willing to spend a little extra help the game with a successful launch period. Honestly I like this new way of doing things. It starts the game off with enough funds to run everything without much worry, and HOPEFULLY there will be less stress in future to push out cash items to gain $$, so they can focus their time with more important things. PW in this case is just the publisher, cryptic I trust. The way things look, this will be a totally unique title under the PWI name that won't be tampered with, by their paws.

New items were added to guardian as well.
darkgod30 @ Mar 20th, 2013 6:41PM
Well it does add more value to the 200 dollar pack.still it is a bit pricey.if you got the extra cash i say go for it.
lexdoodiss @ Mar 20th, 2013 5:43PM
Exactly, it's not for everyone, just available to everyone. I bought the hero pack for myself, and a Hero pack and 2 Guardian packs for my nephews to play on, the extra hero pack allows them all to have characters on that account so they have all the bling. See you all ingame. ))8-P
bantafan56 @ Mar 20th, 2013 1:30PM
